Florence And The Machine la più premiata, vincono anche Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Hurts e Justin Bieber
Florence And The Machine, The Horrors e Arctic Monkeys sono stati i protagonisti degli NME Awards 2012 che si sono svolti ieri sera - 29 febbraio - alla 02 Brixton Aacademy di Londra.
La più premiata nella cerimonia di consegna dei riconoscimenti del "New Musical Express" è stata Florence And The Machine che ha vinto due premi, per Best Solo Artist e Best Track con "Shake It Out".
The Horrors hanno vinto nella categoria Best Album, per il loro terzo lavoro "Skying", mentre gli Arctic Monkeys hanno trionfato come Best Live Band e hanno ringraziato tutti tramite un video perché non erano presenti alla cerimonia.
Assente anche Azealia Banks, per malattia, che si è aggiudicata The Philip Hall Radar Award.
Premiati anche i "nostri" Hurts nella categoria Best Video per "Sunday", mentre i Kasabian si sono imposti come Best British Band e hanno dedicato il premio a Davy Jones, il leader dei The Moonkees che si è spento ieri ai suoi 66 anni a causa di un infarto in un ospedale di Martin County in Florida.
Tra i premiati c'è anche Justin Bieber, peccato però abbia vinto nelle categorie Villano dell'Anno e Peggior Album dell'Anno con il suo disco natalizio "Under The Mistletoe".
